At Coconut’s Cocktail Bar and Kitchen, we are always creating new recipes, both in the bar and in the kitchen. Our marvellous mixologists have recently launched some new cocktails that are proving to be very popular with our discerning guests; not only do they taste amazing but they look fantastic with REAL EDIBLE FLOWERS and DRY ICE ‘SMOKE’ to give added drama to your night out!

Now it’s the turn of our creative kitchen team who are about to add Tempura Barramundi and Wok Fried Kale to our, already amazing, menu. We are so proud of our team upstairs who, every day, produce dish after dish of the Finest, Freshly cooked food that our lovely customers return again and again to enjoy.

Here’s a recent review from one of our fabulous guests:

 Great lunch.  Visited for the first time today with my wife for lunch and we were very impressed. The lunch menu has loads to choose from at very reasonable prices.
We had a Beef Bibimbap and a Prawn Katsu Curry and we both really enjoyed our choices. Served piping hot and well presented and we did not have to wait long. Very pleasant attentive staff and nice surroundings as well.
We will certainly be coming back and would highly recommend it if you are in Reading one lunchtime and want to try something a bit different without getting fleeced with an extortionate bill.

There’s really not much we can add to that! Thank you Brian for taking the time to mention us. We really do appreciate it and so glad you had such a great time with us.

And, on the subject of our brilliant kitchen staff, our EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH award for JUNE went to Rico Costa for all his hard work. Well done Rico, well deserved recognition. Keep up the great work!

By definition, fast food is food that can be prepared and served quickly. In most cases this is food that is sold with precooked or preheated ingredients. Burgers, pizzas and fried chicken are the foods most likely associated with fast food, usually purchased after queuing and often eaten from throw away containers and paper wrappers. 

Of course, the beauty of fast food is being able to grab a quick meal during a lunch hour, a shopping trip or before the theatre or cinema perhaps.

Between 11am and 4:30pm you can choose from our lunchtime tapas and cocktail menu offering fabulous value and a great selection of dishes as well as cocktails and prosecco deals, or you may prefer our a la carte menu, available all day and evening, providing our guests with a vast choice to suit all palettes and appetites.

A Midsummer Night King’s Dream

This Friday 21st June marks the Northern Hemisphere summer solstice. The longest day and shortest night of the year. The day when the sun is at its highest point in the sky giving us the longest period of daylight. A day that is also known as Midsummer.

And, as we all wonder how we got to Midsummer when summer seems to be having trouble starting, here at our cocktail bar and restaurant we have created some fabulous new cocktails to take your mind off the weather. Inspiration has been taken from the world of fantasy. The new additions are exciting on the taste buds and served up with a generous helping of drama.

Come and spend the longest day of the year with us at Coconut Bar and Kitchen. We can’t promise more hours in the day but we can promise fabulous cocktails, delicious food, happy hour from 4:30pm – 7pm and a live DJ from 9:30pm through to closing at 2am.

If you’re busy on Friday then come and see us anytime. We’re open from 11am Monday to Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday, with lengthy happy hours and drinks deals throughout the week as well as great lunchtime menus. What’s more, we have a fabulous front terrace providing the perfect sun trap for when the sun comes out. 

If you’d like to come and eat with us, Friday and Saturday evenings do get booked up so please book as early as you can to avoid disappointment.

Friends don’t let friends drink Prosecco alone….

….so be a really good friend and get together with your besties for some bubbles. At our cocktail bar and restaurant we offer the perfect venue, whatever the weather. When the sun is shining, sit outside on our terrace, either under the canopy for some gentle shade or in the glorious sunshine. If the weather is less appealing, come inside and sit in our bar area, with its tropical feel and chilled vibe.

Prosecco has been carefully chosen by the experts at Coconut Bar and Kitchen and is delicious. An extra dry fizz with stoned fruit and citrus flavours giving it an exquisite, refreshing taste. Here at Coconut Bar and Kitchen we like to make a difference. “Amazing

I’ve visited here over 10 times for different occasions. The food and drink is always perfect as is the service. 
The bar: They put a lot of attention and care into their drink menu and it shows. Every drink I have had has the wow factor. Hands down the best porn star Martini in Reading and another drink I strongly suggest is the kiwi gardens.
Food: Great selection of food and a lot of variety. I enjoy every meal I have ordered. My fave starter is the sticky Thai wings and my fave main is the Thai green curry. They also do a tasty Singapore Noodle. 
Service: Every server I have had is always lovely but a massive thank you to Youraj who made our last stay very comfortable and memorable. All the servers go out of their way to provide you the best service. The doorman are very nice and mild mannered. They kindly enforce the rules and open the doors for the ladies. 
Night Vibe: I had one of the best nights in Coconut past food service. They project music videos on to the projector and play great hits that everyone knows so everyone could have a sing along, dance and enjoy themselves.
